Never Give Up, Never Look Back: KL Rahul Shares Inspirational Post After Success In Comeback Series

Comeback batman KL Rahul showed form in the first two T20Is against Australia as he scored 97 runs in the series. He had returned to the national team for the home series for the first time since the suspension on him and Hardik Pandya was lifted.

Asked to open the innings in both the matches, KL Rahul scored a responsible half-century in the 1st T20I on a tough track for batting.

Riding on his success, India were able to put p a defending total of 126/7 on the board.

In the second T20I, his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan struggled to get runs but KL Rahul played his natural game and garnered 47 runs from 26 deliveries.

He had a crucial role to play in both the matches of the T20Is.

After the completion of the series, he shared a post on Instagram with a caption: “Look up, get up and never give up!#neverlookback #teamindia.”

The chances of KL Rahul to be in contention for World Cup went down when wasn’t called to New Zealand to join the Indian team during which the ban on him and Hardik Pandya was suspended.

KL Rahul played for India A but did not have success in List A format. In the two first-class fixtures, he did well and earned a recall to the national side.

Selectors also gave a chance to him by selecting him in both T20I and ODI squad. In the T20I series, KL Rahul did well and came up with 97 runs in total.

In ODIs, his place in the XI is not confirmed and there can also be a case when he might warm the bench in the initial ODIs, especially after the result of the T20I series that India lost.

Both the teams will kick off ODI series on March 2 with the first ODI to be played in Hyderabad.

The action will then shift to Nagour that will host the second ODI.

The third ODI will be played in Ranchi. Mohali and Delhi will be the venues for fourth and fifth OD respectively.

After ODI series, Indian players will have a rest of a week before they will join their IPL  teams for the upcoming tournament.
