The visitors India have taken the 4-0 lead in the five-match T20I series against the hosts New Zealand after winning the fourth game at Wellington on Friday (31st January).

After winning the toss, the hosts sent the visitors to bat first. While India scored 165/8 (20 overs) in the first innings, the home side also managed to score 165/7 (20 overs).

In the Super Over, the hosts scored 13/1 and the visiting team reached the target on the fifth ball.

New Zealand

i) It was the eighth Super Over for New Zealand (seven in T20Is and one in ODI). They have won only once in the Super Over and that was against Australia during Christchurch T20I on 28th February 2010.

India

i) It was the second Super Over for India and that too happened in back-to-back matches. They won both these Super Overs.

i) Coming to bat at the no.6 position, Manish Pandey scored 50 not out. It was the second-highest individual T20I score for India at the no.6 or lower batting position.

The record is 52 not out by MS Dhoni (batted at no.6 position) against South Africa at Centurion on 21st February 2018.

ii) Coming to bat at the no.5 or lower position, it was the second T20I half-century for Manish Pandey. He became the second Indian cricketer to score more than one T20I half-century at the no.5 or lower batting position.

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh also hit two T20I fifties at the no.5 or lower batting position.

New Zealand

i) The leg-spinner Ish Sodhi had the bowling figures of 4-0-26-3. It is the second-best T20I bowling figures for New Zealand against India on the New Zealand soil.

ii) Colin Munro has scored 411 T20I runs against India. It is the most T20I runs for a batsman against India.

During this T20I, Munro surpassed the Australian cricketer Aaron Finch who has scored 405 T20I runs against India.
