Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi said nobody has the right to tell MS Dhoni when he should retire. Afridi said that former Indian skipper has done a lot for the Indian cricket. Thus, it is pivotal for India to have him for the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2019. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni isn’t in the best of forms in the recent past.

Dhoni has failed to hit the ground running with his batting which has led to his criticism. Hence, a lot of experts feel the talisman batsman should call it a day from the International circuit.

MS Dhoni has done it all for Indian cricket.

However, the final call of hanging the boots should be solely taken by a player. MS Dhoni has done a fine job for the Indian cricket over the years and one should look at his records before questioning his place.

In fact, MS Dhoni has always been a team player. He is not someone who is going to stick around if he is not contributing to the team’s cause. Dhoni has taken some of the shrewdest decisions for the welfare of the Indian cricket. Thus, the decision of Dhoni’s retirement should be left on him only.

“What Dhoni has done for team India nobody else can and nobody has the right to tell him when to retire. 2019 Dhoni needs to be there for India to have good chances,” Afridi said.

On the other hand, former Pakistan batsman and now commentator Ramiz Raja said Dhoni would be surprised to see his methods not working anymore. Dhoni has played with his own technique in the last fifteen years and has savored success.

“Mahendra Singh Dhoni would be flabbergasted at what he did for last 15 years isn’t working anymore,” said the former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja while speaking in an interview with Times Now.

MS Dhoni will return to action for the ODI series against Australia. The first ODI will take place on 12 January and Dhoni will like to return to form before the World Cup.
