The Windies selection committee made two changes to the 14 men squad for the three-match T20 series against New Zealand. The Windies were handed a 3-0 drubbing in the three-match ODI series last week and are now preparing for the T20 series. The Windies are the current T20 champions and will be looking to bounce back in the shortest format of the game after being white-washed in both, Test series and ODI series.

However, the tourist will be without the services of their star all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who has pulled out of the series due to some personal reasons. Pollard was not a part of the recently conducted ODI series which the Windies lost. He was initially included in the T20 squad for the series scheduled to begin on Friday at Nelson’s Saxton Oval in Saxton.

Pollard’s exclusion from the squad is one of the two changes made to the squad. The other late change made to the squad is the inclusion Left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cotterell who will replace Ronsford Beaton. Beaton has flown back home due to a side strain.
