Yet again, the Indian Cricket fans will see Rohit Sharma walking into the middle for the coin toss, as he set to lead the Indian National Cricket Team in the absence of Virat Kohli. The flamboyant batsman from Mumbai has always done his job to the perfection and would like to repeat the same for the Indian team against Bangladesh in 3-match T20I series.

Rohit Sharma has enjoyed a successful run as a limited-overs captain, both for India and Mumbai Indians. He has impressed so much so that at one point, there was even talk of splitting the Indian captaincy across the formats.

I Try and Enjoy the captaincy – Rohit Sharma

Speaking of the responsibility, Rohit Sharma quoted that he doesn’t lose sleep after taking the captaincy. In fact, he would like to enjoy the responsibility given to him at the national level. During the course, he also stated that leading India in one match or in 100 matches is an honour for him.

“These things (captaincy) are not in our hands. One or 100 matches, it is an honour. When we were growing up, it was all about playing for the country. I have captained the team and the experience has been good and I don’t think about how long I should be made captain. Whenever I get the chance to captain the team, I try and enjoy that,” Rohit said at a promotional event on Thursday.

Very excited to play Pink Ball Test:

Further, speaking of the pink ball Test, Rohit Sharma quoted that he is pretty excited to play the Day/night Test. He wants to experience the new action altogether at international level, as he already part of it during Duleep Trophy matches.

“I am very excited as it is the first time. I can’t say about others, but I played one match in Duleep Trophy with a pink ball and it was a good experience. The opportunity has come and will try to do well.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Rohit Sharma will lead the team against Bangladesh. With inexperienced bowlers in the lineup, it might be tough for Rohit Sharma to lead the team but he is up for the challenge.
