Our Niceness Should Never Be Comprehended As Our Weakness, roars Sachin Tendulkar After Air Strike

Former India opener Sachin Tendulkar has hailed the Indian Air Force after their air strike in Pakistan in reply to the Pulwama attack.

The whole country was left in utter shock when the terrorists targeted a CRPF convoy on February 14.  In one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s three decades of militancy, a suicide bomber from the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district, killing 44 personnels and leaving many critically wounded.

Well, it took India less than two weeks to retaliate as they made Pakistan a hefty price for their mistake. On February 26, 12 Mirage 2000 jets from the Indian Air Force carried out a pre-dawn strike after taking off from Gwalior and crossing the Line of Control. The combat planes bombed terror camps at multiple locations across the Line of Control on the Pakistani side.

Government sources said the Mirage 2000 fighter jets pounded JeM terror camps in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakoti in the well-planned strike, destroying the camps. According to sources, 200 to 300 terrorists were killed in the strike by Indian Air Force. The cross-border air attack destroyed terrorist launchpads and Jaish-e-Mohammed control rooms, sources said.

Foreign Secretary VK Gokhale said India carried out a non-military, pre-emptive strike on terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan.

“Credible intelligence was received that JeM was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country, and the fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose. In the face of imminent danger, a pre-emptive strike became absolutely necessary,” Gokhale said.

Soon after the attack, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to laud the Indian Air Force, writing:

“Our niceness should never be comprehended as our weakness. I salute the IAF, Jai Hind ??”

Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, the likes of Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina and Yuzvendra Chahal have saluted the Indian Air Force too.
