Pakistan Legend Congratulates Warner on a Great Test Match

Australia’s swashbuckling opener David Warner rose to occasion twice on both the innings to take Australia to a plain draw in the fourth Magellan Ashes series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Australia registered 261 for 4 in the second innings before the umpires called it for the day with Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh unbeaten on 102 runs and 29 runs respectively.
David Warner notched up his 21st Test hundred in the first innings on his way to scoring 103 runs before getting out by a jaffa of a delivery from James Anderson and helping the host to put up 327 runs on the board in the first innings. However, Alastair Cook played a gem of a knock of 224 runs to overtake Australia’s score.

Warner was again on the mark in the second innings bringing his slowest fifty on his way to score 86 runs before getting out playing a rash shot off part-time spinner Joe Root.
Former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram took this opportunity to congratulate the Aussie opener on a great at the middle. Akram also wished him for a successful future.

Akram posted a picture from their meeting an wrote a message for him on Twitter. He wrote:

Australia has already regained the Ashes Urn be beating the visitor England in the first three matches. However, they will take on each other for the last time in this format when they lock horns from January 4 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
