Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan has credited MS Dhoni for changing India’s fortunes in the game. MS Dhoni is indeed the most decorated skipper India has ever seen. He made India one of the most feared sides in the world across formats.

Till date, MS Dhoni is the only skipper to have won all the ICC events after leading India to World Cup glory in 2011 followed by the Champions Trophy title in 2013. He also led the Indian team to the pinnacle of Test cricket in 2009 in addition to winning several historic overseas series.

The former India skipper has a stunning record as captain in IPL too. He has led Chennai Super Kings to an impressive three titles as well as two titles in now-scrapped Champions League T20.

He is widely regarded as the captain who established India’s supremacy in the game and Moin Khan also agrees to it. Moin Khan also praised Sourav Ganguly, saying that he was the one who started it all.

“I credit Mahindra Singh Dhoni for changing the face of Indian cricket. He really turned them around and saw through what Sourav Ganguly had started. That is why India is producing so many quality players and they have strong bench strength,” Moin Khan told GTV news channel.

Meanwhile, there is absolutely no clarity over the future of MS Dhoni. The World Cup-winner has not played for India since the end of the World Cup in July and is unlikely to play for the national team any time soon. A number of former players including Kapil Dev have expressed their doubts over MS Dhoni’s return to international cricket.

India head coach Ravi Shastri recently hinted that MS Dhoni is unlikely to return to the ODI side. Shastri, however, claimed that Dhoni could return to the T20I side and could be in contention for the T20 World Cup if he does well in the IPL.
