Pakistan fast-bowler Hassan Ali has revealed – Virat Kohli, Babar Azam and Joe Root – are his top three batsmen of this generation.

Hassan conducted a Question and Answer session on Twitter where his fans asked him various questions. One of the followers asked him the name of the batsman who he thinks is the best of this generation.

In reply, Hassan named India skipper Virat Kohli, his compatriot Babar Azam and England Test skipper Joe Root, writing:

“Virat kohli babar azam and root as well”

Well, the trio is definitely some of the most sought after batsmen in the world at the moment. Kohli is arguably the best batsman in the world at the moment.

At just 29, he has already slammed 57 international tons and 83 fifties including six double centuries in Tests. He is the second leading centurion in ODIs and is on the verge of reaching 10,000 ODI runs.

Earlier this month, Kohli became the No.1 ranked Test batsman in the ICC rankings for batsmen, after his 149 and 51 in the first Test at Edgbaston. The India skipper became the seventh India batsman and first since Sachin Tendulkar in June 2011, to top the rankings.
