South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has taken a dig at Pakistan Cricket team spinner Yasir Shah over his constant appealing during the second Test against New Zealand at Dubai.
Meanwhile, Shah weaved his magic to track back Pakistan in the series with 14 wickets in the match. He bundled out the Kiwis for a mere 90 runs in the first innings with eight wickets to put the visitors in deep trouble.
Needing 328 to make Pakistan bat again, New Zealand, resuming at the overnight score of 131 for 2, were all out for 312 in the last session of the fourth day. Yasir Shah, who had 8 for 41 in the first innings, took six wickets in the second innings to script a memorable win for Sarfraz Ahmed’s team.
The second innings five for was Yasir’s 16th in his 32-match career. Furthermore, he has now taken 195 wickets in Test cricket, needing five more wickets in three Tests to become the fastest bowler to scale 200 wickets.
While the world shared high praise for Shah’s impeccable display of bowling, Dale Steyn took a sly at the leg-spinner. Yasir Shah was constantly appealing at every possible opportunity with all his might. The fast bowler from the Proteas compared those appealing with screaming.
“That’s not appealing. That’s just screaming,” the Twitter post read.
