Pakistan Cricket team all-rounder Shoaib Malik got out in a bizarre fashion during the second one-day international against New Zealand on November 9 (Friday) at Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi starred with the ball as the Kiwi batsmen found it tough to play their shorts. They limped to 209 for 9 in their fifty overs, a target that seemed cakewalk for Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam. The hosts completed the chase with plenty to spare in 40.3 overs.
The incident took place in the 33rd over of Pakistan’s chase. Lockie Ferguson bowled a short delivery as Shoaib Malik pulled with great force. However, the ball hit Henry Nicholls positioned at short leg and ricocheted up in the air. Soon, Ish Sodhi sensed an opportunity as he ran in from mid-wicket to complete an easy catch.
Even though Malik got out, he made sure to check up on Nicholls before walking off the field. Nicholls, on the other hand, was quick to brush off the injury and stand on his feet.

This would have to be one of the stranger dismissals we've seen! Tough second ODI in Abu Dhabi but we move on to a decider in Dubai.
