Pakistan's Haris Rauf Credits Dale Steyn For His Improvement

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf hogged the limelight when he scalped a sensational hat-trick during the ongoing ninth edition of the Big Bash League match against Sydney Thunder. Melbourne Stars pacer sent the entire stadium into a frenzy with his mind-blowing spell.

With Sydney Thunder almost reaching the end of the innings, they were searching for more quick runs. Haris Rauf managed to stun Sydney Thunder by bowling three magical deliveries to dismiss Matt Gilkes, Callum Ferguson and Daniel Sams in consecutive deliveries to claim a hat-trick.

Rauf ended up with impressive bowling figures of 3/23 in his quota of four overs. The fans heaped praise on Haris Rauf for his terrific bowling performance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Haris Rauf heaps praise on Dale Steyn

The emerging Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has now credited his meteoric rise to South Africa fast bowler and Melbourne Stars teammate Dale Steyn. Following his bowling exploits, Rauf took to his social media platform to praise veteran Steyn.

An excerpt from his post reads: “Man of the day Alhamdolillah! Hey @DaleSteyn62. I am done with all what you had wished for me today. MoM, Hat Trick & knocked them all-around. I am very happy with my performance, efforts are paying off & InshaAllah will keep the same in future.”

Haris had previously uploaded pictures of his meeting with Dale Steyn and his post read: “It’s an absolute honour and great pleasure for me to spend some quality time both in and off the field with the world-class pacer @DaleSteyn62 A brilliant soul with a true spirit of sportsmanship. Learned alot from him and capitalized it in the ground. Huge Respect for Legend!”

Haris has become a star performer for Melbourne Stars this season. He scalped 2/20 against Brisbane Heat, In the next three games, he hit the peak performance by bagging 5/27 against Hobart Hurricanes, 3/24 against Sydney Thunder and 3/23 versus Sydney Thunder.
