Commenting on the future of the Indian Premier League, Parthiv said that it is very difficult to plan for tomorrow as he, like everyone, doesn’t know when the things will return to normalcy.

“The future of IPL is something I can’t comment on because I am not in knowledge of when things will get back to normal. You can’t plan for anything tomorrow, let alone talk about planning for say July or August. So that’s something I don’t think about personally,” he added.

He also added that there are bigger things at stake than sports currently and the best he and all the cricketers can do is to keep themselves fit and motivated.

“Right now, there are bigger things at stake than sport. We in the (RCB) group are talking about it (IPL), and we are staying positive about the future. It’s important we stay fit for the day we can resume cricket on field,” he added.

The 13th edition of the IPL was scheduled to kickstart from the 29th of March but with the onset of COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown in India, the tournament was first postponed till 15th of April before getting called-off for an indefinite period of time.
