Out of bound India cricketer, Pragyan Ojha and his wife have given birth to a baby boy on September 7 (Saturday). While the veteran cricketer had very less to rejoice inside the field, he must be on cloud nine off the field.

Born in Orissa, Ojha made his international debut in 2008 against Bangladesh in Karachi. He had a good outing returning with figures of two for 43. Pragyan Ojha soon earned his Test debut in 2009 against Sri Lanka replacing Amit Mishra.

However, the left-arm spinner couldn’t show the required consistency to retain his place in the playing XI. He last played his international game against West Indies in 2013. Interestingly, that match at the Wankhede Stadium was also the last match of Sachin Tendulkar in international cricket. Ojha claimed 144 international wickets across the formats.

While Pragyan Ojha is in the dawn of his cricketing career, he has started a new life. The cricketer was blessed with a baby boy. The baby was born at a corporate hospital in Jubilee Hills. The cricketer and his wife were evidently very happy with the news.

Maheshwar Ojha, the cricketer’s father, took some time out to share the news with the media. The proud grandfather seemed ecstatic with the news while talking with Hyderabad Times. He also said that they can’t wait to take the baby boy home.

“I can’t find the words to express my happiness, we are all overjoyed. The delivery took place on Saturday, both the baby and Karabee are doing well. We have been flooded with calls and congratulatory messaged from close friends and family members. Doctors told us that they will be discharged today. We can’t wait to take our bundle of joy home,” Ojha said.

Pragyan Ojha will look to continue this good in the cricket field as well when he resumes first-class with Bihar in a few days time.
