Veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle seems to be unimpressed with MS Dhoni after the latter’s latest decision on his career. At a time when the entire cricket fraternity was busy debating over his career, the former India skipper decided to skip the tour of West Indies. Speculations were rife that Dhoni would retire at the end of India’s campaign at the World Cup.

However, the veteran decided against it. Later reports then suggested that the selectors do not consider MS Dhoni an automatic part of the team. Unsurprisingly, the world was waiting for the selection day to learn Dhoni’s fate. But showing his knack of being unpredictable once again, Dhoni made himself unavailable for the tour in order to serve the territorial army.

His decision has drawn mixed reactions.  Harsha Bhogle has also given his two cents on the same and one can say that he is not too impressed with it. In fact, Harsha Bhogle went on to say that Dhoni’s priorities might have changed, tweeting:

“At his peak, Dhoni would never have taken 2 months off to train with the Territorial Army. But as with all of us, priorities change. We should have a clear direction by September when SA is here. But hopefully the selectors have been talking to him and we don’t need to speculate.”

At the same time, he also tweeted that Dhoni should not be pressurised into retirement. The ace commentator said that Dhoni should take the final call on his future.

“As with all great players, Dhoni must be left free to play as long as he wants to. But like with all players, it is the selectors who must take a call on his future as an India player. But this call must emerge from discussion with Dhoni. The greats command that respect,” wrote Bhogle.
