Prithvi Shaw Not Able To Survive 10 Balls: Aakash Chopra

Delhi Capitals made a great start to their IPL 2020 campaign. It looked like the capital franchise might go on and clinch their maiden IPL title in this season. However, there has been a certain slump in form, but Delhi Capitals still have an opportunity to qualify for the IPL 2020 playoffs.

Delhi Capitals registered a poor outing against Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1. They will have another shot at glory when they take on SunRisers Hyderabad in the eliminator. But the major problem for the young Delhi Capitals side in their batting as their top-order has failed to fire in unison.

Former India cricketer turned analyst Aakash Chopra said that the complete lack of form from Delhi Capitals batsmen in working against them. He mentioned that Shaw is out of form but if he gets going in the first 10 overs than his side will be on the top. Although, the main concern in that Shaw is not being able to survive 10 balls.

“The complete lack of form of the Delhi Capitals batsmen is working against them. If we talk about Prithvi Shaw’s form, it is missing, we don’t know where it is and a missing report will have to be to be written for it.

“He needs to come back in form as there are a lot of expectations from him. Because the manner in which he plays, if he plays 10 overs the match will be in their grasp but the problem is that he is not able to survive 10 balls also,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Coming from Mumbai, opener Shaw, hogged the limelight early in his career. He was the captain of his school team and the Mumbai U-16 team. Shaw achieved the feat of scoring the most runs in an organised tournament since 1901 by scoring 564 runs in a Harris Shield elite division match.
