“Prithvi Shaw Hit Me On The Chest And Arms” – Social Media Star Sapna Gill's Explosive Claim

Just after the whole Chetan Sharma sting operation controversy, it seems like things aren’t going to be good for Indian Cricket for a while as star opening batter Prithvi Shaw has found himself embroiled in another big controversy.

Prithvi Shaw found himself involved in what was a drunk and assault case with social media influencer Sapna Gill, who was arrested for manhandling the Indian cricketer. While talking to the magistrate, Gill informed the court that it was Prithvi Shaw who had assaulted her after being very drunk and even asked her to not file an FIR.

Gill claimed that she and her friend were already enjoying themselves at the VIP lounge of a hotel before Shaw joined them. Shaw had gone to the hotel, which is located in close proximity to the domestic airport, to dine with his business associate when the incident occurred. Ashish Yadav, who happens to be Shaw’s friend and roommate, reported the matter to the police.

Sapna Gill while talking to the court also added that it was Prithvi Shaw who started the whole drama, she and her friend never asked the player for a selfie and he was too drunk and that is why his friend did not file an FIR the same night.

“He (Shaw) hit me on the chest and arms. We were there just to take help from the police. They were eight to ten people and we were just two, I do not know him, nor I have ever seen him. I never asked for a selfie with him. He was totally drunk. He was in front of a police station, he could have filed the FIR then only,” she was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold in the scenario but the whole controversy could have a major impact on Prithvi Shaw’s career which hasn’t progressed far after the player was accused of taking non-authorized medicines that saw him being suspended by the BCCI.
