India’s young batting sensation Prithvi Shaw will train with ace badminton star PV Sindhu to improve his footwork and work ethics. Notably, Sindhu made the headlines recently becoming the first Indian women to win the World Championship.

Meanwhile, BCCI recently suspended Shaw for doping violations. The apex body handed a pre-dated suspension of eight months starting from March 16. The Mumbai cricketer provided a urine sample as part of an anti-doping testing program during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on February 22, 2019, in Indore.

Prithvi Shaw, who took the cricketing world by storm in his debut for India, had to sit out against West Indies and South Africa due to the ban. His ban gets over by November 15 which means he will miss the upcoming Bangladesh series as well.

Shaw is currently in England as he tries to regain his fitness and make a strong comeback. In a bid to do that, Prithvi Shaw has tied up with PV Sindhu to work on his confidence and footwork for the upcoming season. Shaw’s team initiated the association which is likely to take place later this month.

“The idea is to improve his overall fitness and agility as a fielder,” a source said.

PV Sindhu’s workouts, some of which can be seen on social media, have become popular with young sportsmen. Sources close to the development said that the upcoming training will help Prithvi Shaw improve his fielding which has often caused embarrassment to the cricketer.
