A few of the franchise owners in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is unhappy with some of their overseas recruits. Further, they feel that players are not giving their full effort ahead of cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Archer pulled out due to a niggle:

While citing examples, the source named Jofra Archer, who pulled himself from a crucial match. Although, Quetta Gladiators owner, Nadeem Omar, didn’t say anything to Archer but suspected his intentions. Further, he believes that Archer wants to remain fit for the IPL which starts shortly after PSL.

Joffra Archer is one example. He is playing for Quetta Gladiators and he pulled out of a crucial match and this didn’t exactly make the owners, management or fellow players happy,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals roped in the young sensation during the auctions.

Peshawar Zalmi unhappy with Dwane Bravo:

Defending champions Peshawar Zalmi are also not satisfied with Dwayne Bravo’s unavailability. The veteran all-rounder from Windies is yet to turn up for this edition of PSL. Further, Bravo is yet to recover fully from an injury.

It is not about the money but when you lose a player of high caliber it upsets the team’s plans,” another source said.

Meanwhile, CSK retained Bravo for this year’s IPL for 6.40 crore.

Also, few others in the PSL are also suspected to underperform and be fit and ready for the lucrative league.

Salman Butt not surprised to see this:

Meanwhile, former Pakistan batsman Salman Butt admitted that he is not surprised by this. Further, he added that there are many T20 Leagues happening and IPL in the best among them.

Top players would prefer to be in the IPL 100 percent fit and in fresh. Because if you perform there you get richer and noticed quickly,” Butt said.

Also, PSL is under threat with many foreign cricketers not willing to travel Pakistan for the eliminators and finals.
