The India U-19 team has been in sensational form in the ongoing ICC U-19 World Cup, and ahead of the final against the Aussies, the Men in Blue remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament.

They defeated the same opponents by 100 runs in their opening clash of the tournament and went on to beat Papua New Guinea, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Pakistan to reach the finals. Everyone has predicted India to be the favourites, and with the way they have played, there is no doubt about this fact.

The skipper Prithvi Shaw has led from the front while Shubhman Gill has been the star performer for India with the bat in hand. Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi and Ishan Porel had forged a formidable pace attack together and had looked pretty menacing together.

Not only they have grabbed the eyeballs of former cricketers, but some of them has also gone on to bag lucrative contracts in the Indian Premier League Auction.

However, Indian coach, Rahul Dravid has made sure the young guns stay focused on their job in hand and not on other distractions like IPL Auction and media coverage. He has banned the used of mobile phone till the final, as he feels the teenagers might get distracted by the phone calls.

During an interaction with Sportswallah, Shivam Mavi’s father Pankaj Mavi revealed his son informed him about the mobile phone rule on Sunday and also added that he wouldn’t be able to speak with them till the final of the tournament.

“We haven’t got to talk to him. The last we spoke to him was on Sunday when we had a brief call in which he told that he won’t be able to talk till semi-final and final as the coach Rahul Dravid has instructed every player to switch off the phone as the family and media calls might distract them from the focus,” Pankaj was quoted saying by Sportswallah.
