Perhaps, Manoj Tiwary is the unluckiest cricketer in Indian cricket. He has done everything in the domestic cricket to be eligible for the team India selection. However, unfortunately, his incredible knocks went unnoticed, and even his place in the Bengal state got insecure. However, Tiwary came up with a stunning show in the Ranji Trophy 2018/19 game against Madhya Pradesh.

After knocking the double century, the stylish batsman showed his emotions on the field. He wielded his willow in celebration and shouted to let his frustration go out from his mind and body.

I heard that I would get removed from the team – Manoj Tiwary

Meanwhile, the Bengal skipper, Manoj Tiwary quoted it was a special knock for him, as his mother was in the stands to witness his game. Further, he engraved his four-month-old son’s name on the bat for the first time as well.

Speaking on the professional front, Manoj quoted he heard the selectors are in talks to remove from captaincy and also drop him from the team. However, he feels this knock in Ranji Trophy 2018/19 would answer them well to keep him in the side.

“I was a bit emotional and that’s why I reacted a bit loudly. My mother watched this innings from the stands and I played with a new bat that has my four-month-old son Yuvaan’s name engraved on it,” he added.

“First I heard that I will be removed from captaincy. I also heard that I could even be dropped from the side. All these things do disturb you and those who are close to me. I slept well last night. I am always honest in my effort and hopefully after this innings no one will think of dropping me, he asserted.

“I am not diplomatic by nature… I talk straight, but it only concerns the good of the team. But not everybody perhaps likes that and that’s why I get involved in controversies. The whole issue was unwanted but it definitely made me more determined. If you are capable, the door will always be open for you. Nothing can finish you,” Tiwary continued.

However, it was a top-knock from Manoj Tiwary against Madhya Pradesh. Hopefully, the selectors would notice his efforts and help him to cherish his dream of making a comeback into the Indian team.
