Rashid Khan Blown Away By Birthday Wish From 'Greatest Batsman Of All Time' Sachin Tendulkar

Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan, on Thursday , thanked Sachin Tendulkar after the legendary cricketer wished him on his 20th birthday.

Rashid Khan has become one of the most popular cricketers in the world at the moment due to his exploits on the field. He has plied his trade in India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, West Indies and has done well everywhere. His performance in international cricket has been equally impressive.

Not surprisingly,  Rashid was flooded with messages from around the world as he turned a year older on Thursday. And Sachin Tendulkar also made sure to wish him. The legendary cricketer took to Twitter to wish Rashid, writing:

“Happy Birthday, @RashidKhan_19! May you have a very long and illustrious cricketing career. “

Blown away by Tendulkar’s gesture, Rashid thanked the former India cricketer while hailing him as the greatest batsman of all time.

“The greatest batsman of all time @sachin_rt PAJI thank you for your wishes. You are the champion and legend of cricket. Your wishes means to me a lot ???????????,” Rashid replied to Tendulkar’s tweet.

Rashid, meanwhile, further showcased his immense talent by starring with both bat and ball to fire Afghanistan to a thumping win over Bangladesh in the ongoing Asia Cup.

Rashid first hit a valiant unbeaten knock of 57 en route a 95-run stand with Gulbadin Naib. The-leg-spinner then picked up two wickets to help Afghanistan thrash Bangladesh by 136 runs. Not surprisingly, Rashid picked up the Man of the Match award.

Afghanistan were reeling at 158 for 6 before Rashid and Naib launched a stunning counterattack. The duo added 95 runs in just 56 balls as Afghanistan collected as 97 runs in the final 10 overs to post 255 for 7.

In reply, Bangladesh were all out for just 119.
