Rashid Khan Excited to Play in South Africa for the First Time

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is excited to play for the first time in the South African conditions. Rashid Khan will ply on his trade in the forthcoming Mzansi Super League. The Afghan talisman spinner will play for Durban Heat in the upcoming Twenty20 league.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan is one of the best spinners in the shortest format of the game as he has already scalped 200 wickets in 134 matches. The leg-spinner has savored great success in different leagues across the globe and would look to continue his good form in the newly launched league. Mzansi Super League will kickstart from November 16.

Rashid Khan is the best spinner in the world.

Duran Heat will be led by Farhaan Behardieen and will take on Cape Town Blitz on November 18 at their home ground of Kingsmead.

Rashid Khan is at the numero uno position in the ICC T20I Rankings. The leg-spinner said he has got to top position by sticking to his plan.

“I’ve got to number one by sticking to my game plan and that is what I will always do. T20 is a game that can change very quickly and not every game is going to go your way, and I will just do my best to try and win matches for my team,” Rashid was quoted as saying by sport24.co.za.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan is excited for the maiden edition for the Mzansi Super League. Khan will aim to bring his best to the table in the league.

“I am so excited to be playing in the first edition of the Mzansi Super League. I have never played cricket in South Africa before and I have only heard great things,” he said.

On the other hand, Rashid Khan looks forward to sharing the dressing rooms with the likes of Hashim Amla and David Miller.

“To be playing with the likes of Hashim (Amla) and David (Miller) is great and I look forward to joining up with them and the rest of the team,” Rashid said.

Meanwhile, there will be six teams in the Mzansi Super League and the final will take place on December 16.
