KL Rahul has undoubtedly been in a scintillating form in IPL 2020 and had more than 500 runs apart from the Orange Cap ahead of the game against SunRisers Hyderabad. However, SunRisers Hyderabad leg-spinner Rashid Khan left him clueless as he dislodged the KXIP captain with a beautiful googly for a rather low score. The fans expected Rashid Khan to have an enticing battle with Chris Gayle and instead he took out KL Rahul.

After Jason Holder removed Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan was back for his third over, hunting for more wickets. The Afghan-born wrist-spinner dismissed KL Rahul with a googly as the batsman came forward to drive it through the cover region. Instead, it turned and snuck past the inside edge to hit the middle stump. For the second successive time, the right-handed batsman could not make a monumental difference, perishing for a run-a-ball 27.

SunRisers Hyderabad captain David Warner chose to field after winning the toss, hunting for their second consecutive victory after beating Rajasthan Royals convincingly. The Orange Army made one change by bringing in Khaleel Ahmed, omitting left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem.
