Kolkata witnessed history when every star of Indian cricket came to Eden Gardens on the occasion of the first day-night Test between India and Bangladesh. Many eminent personalities were also in the stands to enjoy the grand event. Former India skipper Anil Kumble was also in attendance who was seen sharing a laugh with head coach Ravi Shastri after the end of the game. Notably, Kumble and Shastri don’t get along well and has had personal problems.

Meanwhile, India scripted history when they floored Bangladesh within three days to win the match and register another whitewash. They secured their 12th series win in home conditions and also their four consecutive innings victory to become the first team to achieve so. The Indian fast bowler accounted for all the 19 wickets that fell to take the game home before Virat Kohli’s 27th Test century staged the platform for the host.

Ravi Shastri trolled on social media

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) had left no stones unturned to make it memorable for the fans. And things turned out to be as expected as the thousands of people turned up to watch Test cricket. Days after the historical affair, Ravi Shastri took to share a picture of him along with former head coach Anil Kumble and current batting coach Vikram Rathour.

“Great to catch up with one of India’s greatest – @anilkumble1074,” Ravi Shastri captioned the image.

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri has been a trollers favourite. Everything that he does turns out to be a troll material for the social media addicts. Seeing an opportunity where Shastri was sharing a laugh with Anil Kumble, the Twitterati’s passed their own joke taking a dig at Team India’s head coach. Notably, Shastri took over the head coach role after Kumble stepped down due to the untenable relationship with skipper Virat Kohli.

The vacancy gave Ravi Shastri an opportunity and finally, he succeeded Anil Kumble, to whom he had lost in 2016 for the same position.
