Ravi Shastri Wishes for a Better Condition of Cape Town in the Coming Days

Team India capped off a sensational tour of South Africa after the 3rd and the decisive T20I to take the series 2-1. After drubbing the hosts 5-1 in the ODI series, the visitors were always going t be the favorites in the shortest format. However, South Africa did give a fight after winning the 2nd T20I comprehensively. Heinrich Klassen played a terrific knock and was supported well by JP Duminy.

The Men in Blue won the decider by seven runs to seal the series. Comeback man in the series, Suresh Raina produced a match-winning performance. The southpaw scored 43 of 27 deliveries and bagged a crucial wicket during South Africa’s run-chase.

Starting from the Test series, India has been quite spectacular all through the tour. Despite losing the Test series, they were not blown away under any stress of imagination. They failed to win the crucial moments in the first two and hence surrendered the series. But even in the first two tests, India had chances of winning both.

The batting line-up couldn’t quite put up the performance which was required. However, India managed to win the final match under trying circumstances. They put up a strong show on a difficult pitch and won by 63 runs. It was a sensational spell of fast bowling by Mohammad Shami who bagged a five-wicket haul to help India register a famous victory.

Taking confidence from the Test win, India managed to drub the Proteas by a 5-1 margin. Noone would have predicted such a scoreline of the series. However, the Men in Blue defied all the odds and came up with a thumping performance all through.

Head coach Ravi Shastri will be a happy man after such a performance from India. While leaving Cape Town, he took to his Twitter handle and wished that the drought Cape Town has faced in the recent past comes to a halt. Sharing a picture in front of the Table Mountain Shastri wrote, Time to leave beautiful Capetown and the Majestic Table Mountain. God bless you with the water.
