One of the players, who made tremendous progress in the last few days is the stylish southpaw Ravindra Jadeja. The classy all-rounder time and time again proved his captain and the team management that he is the best man to have in the playing XI irrespective of the conditions of play. Now, he received high praises from the former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly.

The 30-year-old repaid Kohli’s faith by showcasing a series of impressive all-around performances for the visitors against the West Indies. Jadeja was instrumental in white-ball cricket with his small cameos and also proved his mettle in the longest format of the game with quality batting and taking vital wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja delivered when India required him – Sourav Ganguly

Ravindra Jadeja is just six wickets away from achieving 200 Test wickets. He will become only the 10th Indian bowler to achieve the feat. If Jadeja achieves the feat in the first Test at Antigua, he will become the second-fastest Indian bowler to reach the landmark after Ravichandran Ashwin.

“One must also mention the efforts of Ravindra Jadeja. He didn’t lose belief even though he hasn’t been a regular in the side lately – be it in ODIs or Tests. He came out and played a terrific knock in the World Cup semifinal and in the first Test too, he delivered when India really needed it,” Ganguly said as per Times of India.

India displayed a clinical performance in the recently concluded T20I and ODI series against Windies. The Men in Blue defeated the team from Caribbean 3-0 in the T20I series whereas they outclassed West Indies 2-0 in the three-match ODI series. Now, they started the Test series on a positive note by bagging a massive victory, which saw them on the top of the ICC Championship table.
