Michael Vaughan, who often makes headlines for expressing his bold opinions out has once again come up with such a statement. He sarcastically makes a comment that David Warner, who displayed his right-handed batting skills can earn a spot in Australia’s top 6 batting lineup. Vaughan also showers words of praise on Shaun Marsh.

Recently, in a Bangladesh Premier League match against Rangpur Riders, David Warner showed his brilliance by batting right-handed. He did so, as he got hurt on his elbow while knocking a superb half-century for his side.

Speaking of the same, Vaughan quoted that the knock of Warner is quite good enough to make a spot in Australia’s XI. Further, he went on to add saying that the 10 members of the current Australian side aren’t sure of participating in ICC World Cup 2019.

He hailed Shaun Marsh for his incredible resistance against India’s formidable attack. Vaughan is pretty much sure that Shaun Marsh would be the only candidate from the current setup to travel to England for the grand event in the upcoming month.

“David Warner would get in this top six batting right-handed,” he said on Fox Cricket. “Problems for Australia. I see from this XI that played today, there’s only one absolute guarantee for that World Cup and that’s Shaun Marsh,” Vaughan said.

“The other ten, Peter Handscomb’s played nicely, two fifties in three games, he’s looked like he’s doing his chances lots of good. “But from this XI, there’s only Shaun Marsh that is definitely on that plane to England,” he added.

Well, it is quite a statement by Michael Vaughan regarding the current state of the Australian side. However, as he said, Shaun Marsh is the only certain candidate to make it to the ICC World Cup 2019 squad.

Apart from Marsh, Peter Handscomb and Marcus Stoinis made key contributions but the failure of Aaron Finch was unexpected. Well, it would be interesting to see how Cricket Australia would make things happen for upcoming tours.
