Rohit Sharma just cannot stop shattering records while playing against Sri Lanka. The Islanders have already faced the wrath of the India opener in the One-Day Internationals, having been hit for two double centuries and Friday (December 22) saw them getting butchered by the stand-in skipper in the ongoing second T20 International in Indore.
The right-handed batsman was dismissed for just 17 in the last game but made amends for it with a record-equalling blistering century. Rohit scored his second T20I hundred off just 35 balls and equalled the record set by South Africa’s David Miller earlier this year against Bangladesh. Rohit started his innings on a cautious note and was batting on almost run a ball before changing gears from the fifth over onward.
In the next two overs, he slammed three fours and as many sixes to race away to 32 off just 16. The carnage then continued and stopped only after he had blown away Sri Lanka by scoring 118 off just 43 balls. The innings was studded with 12 fours and ten sixes.
