Rohit Sharma, the 5th time IPL-winning captain, gave a customary speech to his Mumbai Indians teammates following yet another successful IPL campaign after they defeated Delhi Capitals in the summit clash in Dubai on Tuesday.

Rohit Sharma congratulated his teammates besides highlighting the amount of hard work that each and every member of the squad had put in right from the start of the tournament.

Rohit lauded his teammates for the discipline that they displayed while staying in the bio-bubble for such a long period of time. The most successful captain in the history of the IPL also thanked players who warmed the bench throughout the season for their constant energy despite not getting a single game in the tournament.

“Firstly, big congratulations to all of us. It was a great season for us, our season did not start in August, we started preparing way before. I remember it was during some tough times in June, we started preparing and it was never going to be easy,” Rohit Sharma said in a video clip shared by the franchise on social media.

“Once we came here, it was a new environment for us, not going outside the hotel but we were disciplined as a team and we were disciplined on the field as well that is why we stand with the IPL trophy. Guys who haven’t gotten to play at all in this tournament, I would like to thank them for their constant energy, they were quite positive and we never felt like that they were disappointed to not be in the playing XI.” he added.
