After starting his attack with a stunning century in Visakhapatnam, he is continuing the similar show in the ongoing Test match at Ranchi. He knocked South Africa bowlers with ease at JSCA complex to bag third century in the series. What came as a pleasing sight for the spectators was that he brought his century with a superb six over the covers.

Earlier, in the innings, he started pretty cautiously while facing the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi on a tough track. He applied himself in tackling the Proteas bowlers with the new ball. It was an important knock from Rohit Sharma for India, as they already lost the likes of Mayank Agarwal, Pujara and the skipper Virat Kohli.
