India continued their dominance as they go 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series. The men in blues banked on Shikhar Dhawan’s blistering 72 followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s fifer to beat the host by 28 runs.

How did the match go:

South Africa put India to bat first as they got off to a flier. However, debutant CJ Dala halted India’s innings as he removed Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina. Virat Kohli then joined Shikhar Dhawan to revive India’s innings. Dhawan hammered the bowlers as he registered 72 off just 39 balls. Some useful contribution down the order helped India go past the 200-run mark.

Meanwhile, the run-chase was never going to be easy with a high required run-rate. However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s magical spell helped India restrict South Africa to 175. Also, Reeza Hendricks (70) tried to put some resistance but ran out of partners.
