Sachin Tendulkar Hails Virender Sehwag On His 40th Birthday

Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag shared pleasantries on Twitter as the latter turned 40 on Saturday.

Hailed as the Twitter king, Virender Sehwag has carved his niche on Twitter with his unique and witty tweets. Sehwag’s knack for playing with words, using puns and wit while tweeting has made him one of the most popular figures on the social media platform.

And it had begun with his hilarious birthday wishes for his fellow cricketers. No matter what, Sehwag always manages to come up a with a birthday message that leaves his followers in splits.

Well, this time around it was Sehwag’s turn to receive such a message on his birthday. His former batting partner Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to hail Sehwag by posting an interesting tweet.

Tendulkar and Sehwag forged one of the best opening partnerships in the history of the game. Together they scored  3,919 runs in 93 One-day Internationals innings at the average of 42.13. They went on to share 12-century stands and 18 half-century stands. Their record is overall the fourth best till date in an International cricket.

Talking about Sehwag, he is one of the finest openers in the history of the game. He is the first Indian to score a triple-century in Tests and is also the one of only four men to have scored two triple-centuries. Sehwag also has a ODI double century to his name.
