Sandeep Sharma once again displayed why he is one of the most consistent performers in the Indian Premier League.

In a must-win encounter for SunRisers Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma, as he has done one most occasions for the ‘Orange Army’ spearheaded his sides’ bowling unit in the powerplay.

Sharma started off by dismissing Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma with a knuckleball, one that lulled the latter into a mistimed inside-out lofted drive.

Sandeep Sharma came in for some punishment in the 5th over of the innings against Quinton de Kock.

De Kock, who has been in brilliant form throughout this Dream11, took the swing bowler for a four and two consecutive sixes- both of which landed outside the stadium.

But Sandeep eventually had the last laugh as the rush of blood proved to be the undoing for Quinton de Kock, who dragged a wide low full-toss onto his stumps.

And, by doing that, Sandeep Sharma leapfrogged Zaheer Khan [52] to become the leading wicket-taker in the first six overs in IPL history. Post Quinton de Kock’s dismissal, the duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan consolidated MI’s inning before Rashid Khan and Shahbaz Nadeem inflicted a mid-innigs collapse that saw them lose three wickets for no runs.
