Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar has perhaps developed a knack of getting trolled. One way or another, Sanjay Manjrekar just finds a way to get himself trolled. Recently, he was all over the news after India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja slammed him on Twitter. The turns of events had started with Sanjay Manjrekar criticising Jadeja.

Undermining Jadeja’s achievements’ in limited-overs cricket, Manjrekar had controversially said that he is not too keen to see a “bits and pieces” player in the playing XI.

“I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar was quoted as saying by IANS.

Miffed with Manjrekar’s comments, Ravindra Jadeja did not hold back and gave it back to him. The allrounder took to Twitter to remind Manjrekar of his cricket career. Blasting Manjrekar, Jadeja asked his compatriot to respect others, writing:

“Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.@sanjaymanjrekar.”

And just a couple of days after that tweet from Jadeja, Sanjay Manjrekar hilariously included him in his playing eleven for the World Cup semifinal. It is just baffling to see Manjrekar’s views taking a complete turn after watching Jadeja bowl just ten overs. With Jadeja impressing against Sri Lanka, the former cricketer-turned-commentator took to Twitter to state that he would like to have the allrounder in the team for the semifinal.

“Trying to predict Indian team for the semis. Let’s see how many I get right. Do send yours too. Will retweet a few.  Rohit, Rahul, Virat, Pant, Hardik, Dhoni, Jadeja, Bhuvi, Shami, Kuldeep*, Bumrah,” wrote Sanjay Manjrekar.

Talking about Jadeja’s performance against Sri Lanka, he picked up one wicket and conceded just 40 runs from his ten overs.
