It was an incredible display of batting by KL Rahul in the last few weeks for Team India. The flamboyant batsman is advertising all his class ever since he made a comeback into the national team. He is earning praises from cricket fraternity at the moment and the latest to join his admirers’ list is cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar.

While Rahul’s batting class is something that has been the subject of admiration ever since he came into national reckoning, Rahul has been able to adapt himself to different situations and different roles. He has earned the trust of team management after delivering goods from time to time. Though it was tough to handle, Rahul did exceptionally well in his stint so far.

KL Rahul can make 360-degree batting look classical:

During his brilliant innings that saw India reach a massive total of 347 runs in Hamilton, Rahul slammed Kiwi pacer Jimmy Neesham for a reverse-sweep six over the third man boundary. The shot reminded many of the legendary South Africa batsman AB de Villiers who has made a name for himself by hitting such unorthodox shots.

In his tweet, Manjrekar stated that Rahul of India has got the knack of scoring 360-degree shots with all class written on them.

The cricket world has already witnessed AB de Villiers, who often played that kind of strokes in his innings. It read ‘Only KL Rahul can make 360 degrees batting look orthodox and classical.”

The Karnataka lad who has been opening for the Indian team in T20Is, found no trouble as he played the finisher’s knock lower down the order in the first ODI against the Kiwis.

Rahul has fared well in the middle-order. He has moulded himself according to the situation after making a comeback in the Indian squad. Rahul has scored 175 runs in three innings when asked to bat at the number five position. Rahul averages 87.50 at this particular spot.
