The Indian selectors look likely to continue their experiment with the T20I side keeping in mind the next year’s T20 World Cup. In the last two series against West Indies and South Africa, the team has tried out several new faces and the trend looks set to continue in the upcoming series against Bangladesh too.

According to media reports, highly-rated Sanju Samson is likely to get a chance for the upcoming series. Along with Sanju Samson, Mumbai star Shivam Dube is also in line for his maiden international call-up, according to Mumbai Mirror.

Sanju Samson‘s name is doing the rounds for quite some time now. With Rishabh Pant not doing well in ODIs and T20Is, there have been calls to try out the Kerala man. The right-handed batsman is also in fine form at the moment. Recently, he hit a double-century against Goa in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy to further press his case for selection.

Sanju Samson is also well aware of the demands of international cricket. He had earned his maiden call-up from the Indian team in 2014 for the England tour but could not play any game. He made his debut in the following year against Zimbabwe but is yet to play his second game. Since then, he has remained an India A regular.

Talking about Dube, he is one of the most highly-rated allrounders in the country at the moment. He was so impressive in the last edition of the Ranji Trophy that Royal Challengers Bangalore spent INR 5 crore to secure his services. He later broke into the India A team as well and has done well.

With Hardik Pandya sidelined for months after the back surgery, Dube can turn out to be a like for like replacement. In 16 first-class matches, he has scored 1012 runs at 48.19 and has also scalped 40 wickets. In 34 List A matches, Dube has 614 runs and 33 wickets while in 19 T20s, he has scored 242 runs and has 14 wickets.
