Shadab Khan Cheekily Congratulates Hasan Ali After Winning the Emerging Player of the Year Award

Hasan Ali has been named as the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the year in the ICC awards announced on Thursday by the International Cricket Council. Ali made his ODI debut in August 2016 against Ireland, and since then He has played 21 ODI’s for Pakistan and has picked up 42 wickets at an average of 22. He already has two five-wicket hauls to his name in ODI’s.

He certainly has made amongst the fans in a very short period picking up 62 wickets in 29 ODI’s at an average of 20. Ali was also the joint highest wicket-taker in the 2017 Champion’s Trophy held in England in June 2017 which Pakistan eventually won. He troubled batsmen of every country with his fiery spells of fast bowling. He took a total of 13 wickets in five matches he played in the Champion’s Trophy.

He is also a favourite amongst his teammates. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan congratulated the right arm fast bowler after being announced as the ICC emerging player on Twitter and tried to pull his leg. Ali is fond of posing in front of the camera. Khan Cheekily added in his Tweet that he could have also grabbed the ‘model of the year’ award.
