Shah Rukh Khan Congratulates India U-19 Team on their World Cup Win

Wishes started pouring in from all corners of the world as soon as Harvik Desai lobbed one over point region to bring the winning runs.

India lifted the ICC U-19 World Cup for the record fourth time beating Australi by eight wickets on Saturday.

Batting first, Australia posted a mere 216 on the board following a collapse, as they lost six wickets for just 33 runs. Indian bowlers bowled some superb line and length to pull off things in their favour.

In reply. Indian banked on Manjot Kalra’s magnificent unbeaten hundred well cushioned by the other three to lift the title.

India remained unbeaten in the tournament, as they were a dominant force going into the finals. India played a superb brand of cricket under the guidance of Rahul Dravid. Dravid, who didn’t win a World Cup during his playing days looked thoroughly satisfied after the big victory.

Shah Rukh took to Twitter to congratulate the young guns. He admitted it is a proud moment for India and wished them for their future.

Wow. What a proud moment for young India. Well done lil ones…May u keep conquering the world. And keep playing FIFA …on the side. A great morning,” Shah Rukh tweeted.

India displayed a brilliant team effort throughout the tournament. Every player chipped in with useful contributions when needed.

BCCI also announced a cash reward for the players and the support staffs.
