The war of words between Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi has continued on Twitter. Ever since their infamous scuffle during an ODI in 2007, the two do not waste any opportunity to mock or troll each other. In the latest incident, Gambhir hit out at Afridi after the latter once again commented on Kashmir.

In the wake of India’s decision to abrogate Article 370, the relation between the two nations have further deteriorated. Pakistan have been trying all they can to make India reverse the decision. On the other hand, India have not paid any attention to Pakistan’s constant whining and are trying their best to finally improve things at a place which was the hotbed for militancy.

But Pakistanis are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down although their protest is limited only to Twitter. They have not received any sort of support whatsoever from any country and have thus resorted to Twitter to spread fake news and propaganda to tarnish India’s image.

Afridi being a Pakistan also did the same as he continued with his anti-India tweets. On Wednesday, he took to Twitter to ask his countrymen to oblige to their Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Kashmir Hour request. Imran Khan has asked his compatriots to stand for half an hour every week ‘to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir’.

Amused with Afridi’s request, Gambhir mocked the former Pakistan skipper and called him immature.  Gambhir went on to say that he is buying online kindergarten tutorials for the allrounder. Shahid Afridi has now hit back at Gambhir. The ex-international took to Twitter to take a dig at Gambhir by posting a quote of India’s former mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton.

“Change of weather in Karachi, rain in the air ? Also each time Gautam tries to make himself relevant, I am reminded of this…,” wrote Shahid Afridi.

In his book ‘The Barefoot Coach’, Upton had criticised Gambhir’s mentality, saying that the former India opener was ‘mentally the most insecure’.
