India’s Home Minister, Rajnath Singh has reacted to a recent remark from former Pakistan cricketer, Shahid Afridi who said Kashmir issue had brought a lot of embarrassment to Pakistan. However, Shahid Afridi’s comments have come as an embarrassment to Pakistan’s new government headed by cricket legend, Imran Khan.

“Baat to thik kaha unhone. Woh Pakistan nahi sambhal pa rahe, Kashmir kya sambhal paayenge. Kashmir Bharat ka part tha, hai, aur rahega,” says Rajnath Singh.

Meanwhile, Afridi had on Wednesday shammed his country’s administration when he said, “Pakistan doesn’t need Kashmir, as it cannot manage its own four provinces” an imposed that Kashmir to be given ‘independence.’

Rajnath Singh has mocked Shahid Afridi.

“I say Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. Don’t give it to India either. Let Kashmir be independent. At least humanity will be alive. Let people not die… Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir… It can’t even manage its four provinces…What is the big thing is insaaniyat (humanity)? People who are dying there, it is painful. Any death, be it from any community, is painful,” Shahid Afridi said in the video posted on social media.

However, the 38-year-old tweeted recently, saying his comments should not be taken out of context.

Also, earlier in 2016, Shahid Afridi had suggested a lot of Kashmiri fans supported Pakistani cricketers. In response to his comments, many of the Twitter users reminded the veteran cricketer that Pakistan had failed to deconstruct the terror sanctuaries. It, however, allowed global terrorists like 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed to roam freely.

Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi had recently played the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) for Paktia Panthers. Talking about his cricket, he is an explosive batsman and also known for his ability to break partnerships. Afridi had impressed with both his bat and ball in the APL and led his team to reach into the semi-finals.
