However, Shahid Afridi chose not to pick one batsman between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. Kohli has already established himself as one of the greatest across formats while Babar is coming up the ranks and is currently one of the best batsmen to represent Pakistan.

Virat Kohli has been a prolific run-scorer ever since he made his international debut and has taken batting in limited-overs cricket to a whole new level. He almost has broken every record held by Sachin Tendulkar and is the closes to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds.

On the other hand, Steve Smith showed the world his abilities in the recently-concluded Ashes. Smith finished with 774 runs from seven innings with the lowest score of 23 runs in the last innings of the Test series. He returned with three centuries including a double hundred and three fifties.

Joe Root and Babar Azam are also making some great noise with their consistency in the batting. However, they have to go miles before touching the greatness of Smith and Kohli although Shahid Afridi kept them in the same level.
