Team India finally agreed to play day-night Test last month and are currently in action against Bangladesh at the historic Test at the Eden Gardens. India made their debut in day-night Test almost four years after the first such game was played between Australia and New Zealand. The world number one Test side never really showed a keen interest in playing with the pink ball.

Virat Kohli as well as his teammates were apprehensive of how the ball would behave under the lights. Not many players from India had played with the pink ball and thus the reservation towards it was totally justified. Unlike India, the likes of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, England and South Africa did not hesitate in trying out playing with the pink ball.

But earlier this week, India finally decided to move along with their contemporaries and try out the pink ball. The start has been very promising for the Virat Kohli-led side as they bowled out Bangladesh for just 106 runs. The pacers were all over Bangladesh as Ishant Sharma picked up five wickets while Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami picked up three and two wickets respectively.
