The sporting world has endured the after-effects of the Coronavirus situation all over the globe. Major sporting associations in several countries have resorted to drastic measures in a bid to control the spread of the pandemic as far as possible.

The likes of cricket, football, basketball, tennis, and F1 have all felt the aftermath of the epidemic of the outbreak.

Amid all this, former Australian spin-bowler Shane Warne managed to capture the news as he became the victim of trolls on Twitter for not tagging the BCCI president with regards to the postponement of the IPL.

Initially, the BCCI remained adamant of not postponing the thirteenth season of the IPL; however, after repeated pressure from the government, they took the call.

The apex body of Indian cricket decided to push the start date of the cash-rich competition to mid-April to buy some time.

Before that, the status of the tournament had been debatable by fans and former cricketers. It also included the Victorian and the IPL winning captain Warne, who enquired about pushing it to a later date.

However, the mystery spin-bowler did not just ask the fans but also tagged plenty of cricketers in his post.

The likes of it included Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ricky Ponting, Kuldeep Yadav, Michael Vaughan, Kevin Pietersen, Virender Sehwag as well as the official handles of Rajasthan Royals, BCCI, and IPL.

Warne mentioned several athletes but missed out on the president of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly.

It is obviously the president who would finalize the decision and Warne became a subject of trolls after he forgot to tag him.

Meanwhile, along with delaying the start of the IPL, BCCI also decided to postpone the ODI series against South Africa in India.

On Friday, the English Cricket Board (ECB) also pulled the plug on the two-Test tour of Sri Lanka while the Englishmen were engaged in a practice match.

On Saturday, the ODI series between Australia and New Zealand faced cancellation as well for the time being after Kane Richardson and Lockie Ferguson were found suspicious of having Coronavirus.
