Indian Cricket Team’s Gabbar, Shikhar Dhawan has lauded KL Rahul for the kind of form the latter is in. Rahul smashed another scintillating century against New Zealand in the 3rd ODI of the recently concluded India-New Zealand ODI series.

However, his valiant effort could not save India from facing a humiliating loss against the Kiwis.

India lost the game and was clean swept (3-0) by the Black Caps. The Men in Blue have been whitewashed for the first time in 31 years since 1988.

Rahul has now become the first choice wicketkeeper-batsman for Virat Kohli and his team is constantly winning over his critics with his performances. He has been shuffled many-a-time in the batting order too but the lad seems to be a confident performer with the bat.

Shikhar Dhawan Praises KL Rahul:

The southpaw Dhawan was impressed with Rahul’s knock in the final ODI. Rahul scored 112 runs with the bat. His innings included nine fours and two sixes.

“Well played and wonderful century bro keep going strong. The way you are batting, even if you go as 12th man you will score a ton,” Dhawan said in an Instagram post.

Rahul displayed good form initially as an opener with his performances putting Dhawan under pressure as he was out injured.

The Karnataka batsman has been tasked to keep wickets and bat in the middle order as Dhawan injured himself once again during the ODI series against Australia and was ruled out of the New Zealand tour.

Rahul has been a consistent performer for Team India and is currently cementing his spot as the new wicketkeeper-batsman of India in the limited-overs format.
