Shikhar Dhawan Praises KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav on Twitter After T20I Win

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was full of praises for his teammates KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav on Twitter. The duo were the key figures in India’s win against England on Tuesday.

A comprehensive win by India will only boost team’s confidence going into upcoming challenges in England. After a rampant start by England’s in-form batting lineup, Kuldeep Yadav proved decisive in applying brakes on their free-scoring.

The mystery wrist spinner had been a revelation in international cricket over the past 12 months. And he did not harm to his reputation in his first game in England ever.

He managed to pick five wickets over the innings and England batsmen had no clue over his variations. This has helped India make a strong comeback into the match after looking clueless in the first half of the innings.

KL Rahul Shine After Kuldeep Yadav

Asked to chase 160 on a batting belter, India lost Shikhar Dhawan in the very first over.  But KL Rahul has been in prime form and cashed it in against English bowlers.

After an impressive IPL season, Rahul has been back in the reckoning with the national team. He was impressive against Ireland with a well made fifty. Coming into bat in the first over, Rahul counter attacked English bowlers and scored runs at utmost ease.

His heroics has ensured that the match was in India’s grip after the first 10 overs. Rahul went on to score his second international T20 hundred. Incidentally, he also became the second Indian ever to reach this feat.

The form of KL Rahul will be pleasing for Indian dressing room with tougher tasks ahead. Shikhar Dhawan was very happy with both the players and went on to Twitter to praise them.

India will next face England in the second T20I on Friday at Sophia Grounds in Cardiff, Wales.
