Watch: Shreyas Iyer Pulls Off Impressive Magic Trick In The Times Of 'Self-Distancing'

The novel coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill and left its effect on the cricketing world too. To overcome the situation, social distancing and self isolation are touted to be the best remedial ways.

Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer, who has displayed his batting prowess on the field, and has been a quick-fix to India’s No.4 conundrum came up with a magic trick off the field.

Shreyas Iyer turns magician! 

Volunteered by his sister Natasha, the rising India batsman Shreyas Iyer pulled off a magic trick, with a pack of cards. The video of his trickery has been well documented by BCCI and posted on their official twitter handle.

In the trick, Iyer asks his sister to pick up a card from the pack, without showing him. He also asks her to show the card to the camera as an evidence.

Then, he asks her to put the card back in the deck, and check if it is in the pack. Iyer calls it ‘the gun trick’, and later asks his sister to pick a bullet, referring to another card.

The Mumbai batsman then puts the bullet back to the pack of cards, ‘reloads it’, and then pulls the trigger to find the card that her sister selected.

The trick left her sister in awe, as she laughingly said, “Oh my God!”

Next assignment for Shreyas Iyer?

There are clouds of uncertainty hovering over the IPL 2020. The lucrative tournament has been deferred to April 15 after it was slated to get underway from March 29, as a measure of precaution.

If the IPL gets underway, Iyer will be next seen in action for Delhi Capitals, where he had a prolific season last year. He along side Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant will be some exciting talents to watch out for in the capital franchise.
