The Mumbai batsman has done everything that a cricketer could do to represent the national cricket team. He delivered the goods across the formats in domestic circuit but still sidelined from the team. He is certainly one of the best players available in the ranks fro Indian team, especially, in the middle order.

Though he failed to get success in his initial few days in International Cricket, the captaincy in IPL and for India A has made him strong enough to perform under pressure. He can be tested in Australian series to stay in the standby list of players for Ambati Rayudu.

The right-handed classy batsman was expected to be the successor of Virat Kohli at one stage. But, unfortunately, the flamboyant batsman failed to deliver the goods. He was given ample chances before being knocked out from the Indian side.

However, the Karnataka batsman showed his talent in the domestic circuit to push for a place. if given chance in the Australian series, Manish Pandey would surely like to give his all in order to be in the contention for ICC World Cup 2019.

The experienced campaigner Ajinkya Rahane makes into the list. In addition to talent, Rahane has got experience under his kitty. The Mumbai batsman was asked to represent India A in the recent past, where he produced a couple of big knocks to his name.

Rahane also showed his worth in the series against South Africa and also got the experience of playing at that slot in ICC World Cup 2015. Even before being knocked out from the team, Rahane delivered goods in the West Indies and also against Australia at home.

The youngster has already displayed his class in the domestic circuit. However, he failed to repeat the show in New Zealand. But, one must admit that Gill got tough circumstances to bat on like any other debutant so far got in the recent past.

In both occasions, he was dismissed in unfortunate scenarios, which shows that the youngster has got something in his belt. He can be tried in Indian conditions and have a look at his ability to tackle things. Besides that, Gill has shown his nerves during the U19 World Cup, where he smashed brilliant knocks.

Hanuma Vihari is the most reliable all-rounder in the domestic circuit, who can play any role in the Top 5. He got the knack of rotating the strike with ease and can look after those middle overs.

Apart from his batting, Vihari can be quite useful with his off-spin in the bowing section as well. Most probably, the Indian National Selectors might give a look at him in the series against Australia. Vihari already showed his worth in the Test format of the game.
