Sourav Ganguly Predicts A Bright Future For Young Rishabh Pant

It has been a great series for Rishabh Pant in Australia in various ways. The stylish southpaw showed his class with the bat and was also pretty vocal behind the stumps. He gained huge attention with his way of playing the game but unfortunately, couldn’t make into the ODI squad for Indian National Cricket Team. Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly backs the youngster.

Ganguly was thoroughly impressed with young sensation Rishabh Pant’s batting rendition in Sydney. The Delhi southpaw registered an unbeaten 159 to drive India beyond the 600-mark in the first innings. It was an incredible performance from an Indian wicketkeeper, who bagged quite a few records.

Recently, Sourav Ganguly asked selectors to include him in the ODI squad against Australia as he could be a key cog in the wheel for India in the World Cup in England and Wales later this year. He believes that Pant can be the X-factor for the team.

Meanwhile, in the recent interview, once again Sourav Ganguly batted for Rishabh Pant to play across the formats. The stylish southpaw predicted that Rishabh Pant is going to be the superb player for India in the coming future.

Further, he went on say that the victory against Australia is a terrific achievement. Sourav Ganguly lauded Cheteshwar Pujara and Jasprit Bumrah for their top-class show on the Australian tracks.

“He will be a superb player for India in the future. He has been so good in the series and in future also, he will shine,” Ganguly told reporters on the sidelines of Bengal’s Ranji Trophy Elite Group B fixture against Punjab.

“It’s a terrific win. They played excellent cricket throughout and the batting clicked. They scored 400-600 runs and that was the key. Bumrah and Pujara were simply brilliant. They played big roles behind the win,” Ganguly said as quoted by India Today.

Well, as Sourav Ganguly said, Rishabh Pant can be the biggest positive for Indian National Cricket Team in the limited overs format. His ability to yield runs in a quick fashion would certainly help Indian side making things happen.
