Team India registered their maiden series victory across formats. India registered the glory after defeating South Africa by 73 runs in the fifth One-day International in Port Elizabeth.

Virat Kohli and men took an unassailable lead of 4-1 in the ongoing six-match series. After a slight hiccup in the Pink ODI in Johannesburg, India managed to stage a strong comeback to clich the series.

So with the series already done and dusted India might look at employing a few changes in their combination.

The reason for India’s success has been largely built around the success of two wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

Also, India rode on the exceptional contributions from their top three batters Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli respectively. They have contributed four centuries in the series so far which has helped the visitors get off to a solid start on most of the occasions.

The Proteas, on the other hand, has been miserable in the series so far in all departments against India.

Barring the fourth game where the hosts attacked the wrist spinners, they have been undone by their exceptional bowling in all the other matches. With Rohit Sharma coming back to form, India will now be a more confident unit to finish the series with a 5-1 scoreline.

The inclusion of promising Heinrich Klassen in the limited overs team has paid dividends. The wicket-keeper batsman has played some good knocks in a previous couple of matches.

Meanwhile, the performance of Lungi Ngidi will give them a confidence booster. The youngster bagged four wickets in his 9 overs spell in the penultimate ODI.
